Rhian qualified in holistic massage in 2004, Reflexology in 2005 and Clinical Aromatherapy in 2007. In 2007, she achieved a 1st in BSc (Hons) Complementary Therapies and won an award sponsored by the Welsh Assembly Government for the best dissertation in her year. Her dedication and enthusiasm in each aspect of the course has provided her with exceptional skills and knowledge associated to integrated approaches to health care.
Rhian has had experience working in the voluntary sector, providing therapies to cancer patients, drug and alcohol centres and has worked in occupational settings providing treatments on-site for employees. She also works with VISIT (Voluntary and Independent Sector Integrated Therapies) to provide complementary treatments to organisations such as the Alzheimer’s Society.
Rhian is very keen to develop evidence based research in the field of complementary therapies, having recently completed a pilot study at the University of Wales Institute in Cardiff and successfully published her own study using reflexology in the workplace in the peer review journal, Complementary Therapies in Clinical Practice. Rhian has worked with a wide range of conditions and is particularly interested in stress management, anxiety and insomnia.
Rhian has trained to the highest standard in all disciplines and is a member of the accredited professional bodies, IFPA (The International Federation of Professional Aromatherapists) and the AoR (Association of Reflexologists).
