The key to good health is balance and harmony throughout the body.
Reflexology is a holistic therapy that aims to heal the whole person not just presenting symptoms. It is a relaxing and gentle technique involving the application of pressure to specific reflex points or ‘reflex zones’ on the feet or hands that correspond to all major organs, glands and body parts. Through the manipulation of certain reflex points, this therapy aims to relax and balance the body, improve circulation and promote the body’s own natural healing processes.
How will you benefit from reflexology?
Reflexology can help replenish the whole body by encouraging it to naturally restore its own health balance. Most people can benefit from treatment; therefore reflexology can be considered ideal for:

Back pain |

Reflexologists do not claim to cure, diagnose or prescribe.
What happens during a treatment?
On the first visit, an initial consultation will be carried out to determine your present and past health and lifestyle. This will take around 1 hour and 15 minutes. Subsequent treatments thereafter will generally last around 60 minutes.
You will remain fully clothed during the session; simply removing shoes and socks and invited to relax in a reclining chair. After an initial examination of the foot, thumb and finger techniques will be used to apply pressure adapted to suit your individual needs.
A course of treatments is usually recommended for optimum results but this will vary depending on your body’s needs.
You may experience some discomfort in certain areas, however this will usually be brief and it will indicate areas of imbalance in the body. Generally the treatment will provide a deep sense of relaxation, which is valuable in today’s lifestyle where stress levels are at the root of so many illnesses.
Reflexology can also be carried out on hands as well as feet. The zones running through the feet also have corresponding zones in the hands, too. |
